MidStateHoops.com has just confirmed that Lewis Jackson has received a scholarship offer from Illinois.  This is Jackson's third Big Ten offer.  The first came from Iowa at their team camp.  An offer from Indiana shortly followed.

Illinois has been active on the recruiting trail lately, particularly in Central Illinois.  Just last week MSH reported that they extended an offer to Peoria Central star, DJ Richardson.  Now they have offered Jackson who MSH believes stock will only continue to rise.   

"Right now I'm still open and I want to see if my stock keeps rising,"  said Jackson.   

With that being said don't expect any verbal to come from Jackson any time soon.  He is the hottest prospect the state has to offer right now.  With a strong season expected to come from him and his Decatur Eisenhower team, Jackson only figures to become more and more attractive to schools over the course of this season.
