THE BEST IN ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL RECRUITING!

Illini Offer D.J.
by Jason McGee
October 17, 2006

D.J. Richardson of Peoria Central High School has added another high-major offer.  He has already received two from Indiana and Baylor along with a mid-major offer from Bradley.  His latest is from his home state school, Illinois.  Richardson received the offer over the weekend when he was in attendance at Midnight Madness.

Richardson has been hot as of late.  His stock raised tremendously over the summer AAU period with impressive play for the Illinois Stars.  Richardson has developed a reputation as a top player in the class of 2009.  Some have hailed him as the best player to come out of Peoria since fellow Peoria Central player, Shaun Livingston.

Many view Richardson as a can't miss prospect.  Up to this point he is the most recruited player in the state from his class.  Arguably only Richardson's AAU teammate Cully Payne has received more attention up to this point due to his early pre-freshman year commitment to DePaul.

"I don't really have a leader right now" said Richardson. " I am not really worried about recruiting.  I am mainly just trying to concentrate on my schoolwork."

Richardson certainly seems to be headed in the right direction.  Stick with MidStateHoops.com for the latest news as it pertains with Richardson.
