Montgomery has started on varsity since his freshman season. His high school also produced his brother Jon Montgomery (Northern Iowa), Mike Thompson (Northwestern), J.J. Henley (UW-Green Bay), Jelani Poston (Illinois-Chicago), and Julius Hearns (Howard), all whom Jeremy played with during his high school tenure.

Scouting Report: A big guard that can score from everywhere on the floor. Jeremy is a lot like his brother Jonathon in many ways: he is strongly built, he scores well all over the court, rebounds well for his position, and is capable of filling the point and the off guard position. Montgomery is also solid defensively.
