Yelovich and Mt. Zion Playing at a High Level
by Pat Benninger
February 12, 2008

Mark Yelovich is a name you may have heard every now and then but is certainly a player that doesn't get all of the props that he deserves.

The 6'5" 190 lbs senior from Mt. Zion is averaging 21 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks.  As far as the season?

"The season's been great," mentioned Yelovich.  "We're 20-2."

Mark is the leading scorer followed by Caleb and Colby Long, 6'0" twins in the 2009 class.

Recruiting has been pretty good for the wingman as well.

"SIU-Edwardsville is probably recruiting me the most.  Also, IPFW, Northern Illinois, Illinois State, and Missouri-Kansas City."

Yelovich claimed no offers.

"I'm looking to make my decision after the season.  I'm going to go on a couple official visits then I'll make my decision.  I'm looking for a good education, obviously a good school for basketball, and a good relationship with the coaching staff and the players.  My family will be the biggest aspect to my decision as well as my (high school) coach, Coach Driscoll."

Mark is a full qualifier and the younger brother of 6'10" Indiana State senior Mick Yelovich.
