Britt Transferring Out of State
by Pat Benninger
July 29, 2008

The class of 2012 will be one of the strongest classes the state has seen in years.  We’ve stated this many times and will continue to state it.  However, they have just lost one big time member.

Travis Britt, a Rantoul, Illinois native, has decided to attend Culver Academy in the state of Indiana for his freshman year instead of staying in-state.  He may or may not be back for his sophomore season depending on how this year turns out.

Britt is a 6-foot-3 combo guard that is very smooth, a great midrange shooter, and a high level passer.  As an eighth grader, he averaged 35 ppg and is projected as a high major point guard.

University of Illinois is heavily involved with Britt in the recruiting process.

This season, Travis will be coached by former Decatur Eisenhower assistant and Decatur Christian head coach Alan Huss.

He competes on the AAU circuit with Team Illinois and Indiana Elite.
