Moore Signs With Division I Program
by Pat Benninger
August 16, 2007

This past season, MidStateHoops.com introduced the world to two of the state's best unheralded seniors in Corey Aken and Warren Moore.  Both players finished rated in the top 25 positional rankings and both have landed at collegiate programs.  Aken landed at North Iowa C.C. while Moore has found himself at a Division I school.

Warren stands 6'3" 200 lbs.  He is best known for his athletic ability, passing skills, and ability to create for himself and teammates while attacking the basket.  He averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds this past season for Normal West.

Moore has signed a scholarship to play at Arkansas-Pine Bluff of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).  He chose them over an offer from Dillard University and interest from Arkansas-Little Rock, Southern Illinois, and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville among others.

On the AAU circuit, Warren competed with Team Illinois.  He put a lot of collegiate programs on watch with an alarming showing this summer as an unsigned seniors.

Despite being, only, a part time starter for Normal West, Moore has become the school's first Division I basketball player since 7'0" Tom Howland signed with Ball State.

Look for Warren to be an immediate impact for UAPB.
