THE INNOVATIVE AMPLIFICATION CONTINUES. MOST IMITATED, MOST RESPECTED, THE BEST.

Zion-Benton Sophomore Pulling In Offers

August 17, 2007

The class of 2010 is one that is very loaded.  Jereme Richmond is seen across the country as one of the most elite players throughout the nation but the talent doesn't stop there.  The state's most underrated player in the class has shown college coaches what he's made of and is beginning to earn respect from recruiting services.  He is Lenzelle Smith.

Lenzelle is a 6'3" wing with good strength and skills.  He can do a little bit of everything on the floor and is very poised.

"He's proving he's one of the best in the class of 2010," stated Troy Johnson, the coach of Lenzelle's AAU team.  "He's consistently the one that national scouts, college coaches, and opposing coaches want to know more about."

MidStateHoops.com has always rated Smith as the best 2-Guard in his class.  He has proven himself in both high school and the AAU circuit worthy of this ranking and it doesn't seem it will change in the near future.  He reminds us of underrated 2008 wing Ryan Hare but is more of a natural guard.

Baylor, Iowa State, Loyola-Chicago, and New Mexico State have already offered him scholarships.  Others schools who have been pursuing him heavily include DePaul, Illinois, Indiana, Marquette, Miami-FL, Northwestern, Notre Dame, and Stanford.

Smith competed on the AAU circuit with Illinois Stars' 16U team.
