Hobson Off the Board
6’7” Decatur Christian small forward, Darrington Hobson, has decided to offer his services to the Pepperdine Waves over the course of the next few years. Hobson, who was originally thought to be a lock for Oklahoma State, chose the Waves over offers from OSU, Texas A&M, USC, Wyoming, Washington, and UNLV. Baylor, Illinois, and Tennessee were also in the mix. Darrington, who recently transferred to Decatur, via the state of Texas, is a very versatile forward with a good feel for the game. He is very long and athletic with good perimeter skills. He's also a capable rebounder. Hobson is the second consensus top 100 player in the nation to commit to Coach Walberg. Tyrone Shelley of San Diego, CA was the first. 6’5” wings, Jonathon Reed and Mychael Thompson have also pledged their services.
