Forrester Picks Up Second '08 Recruit
by Pat Benninger
September 18, 2007

Southern Illinois-Edwardsville's transition to Division I should be a pretty easy one considering Coach Forrester's ability to coach and recruit.  He has snatched his second class of 2008 recruit in Stevenson's Kevin Stineman.

Stineman, a 6'0" combo guard, is a great shooter.  He's a poised player with a strogn frame and a high IQ.  He doesn't force a lot and plays hard at all times.

Kevin competed with the Rising Stars on the AAU circuit and came up big for them quite a few times.  He is one of the state's more underappreciated recruits.  This past spring he led Stevenson High School to the Class AA Elite Eight at the state tournament.

Stineman chose SIU-E over interest from Colgate, William & Mary, and St. Francis (PA) as well as a load of small college offers.  Aaron Garriott of Bloomington Central Catholic was Forrester's first recruit for the '08 class.
