DACC Sets Up For A Successful Season

Danville Area Community College have put themselves in a very good position this season.  For a team returning four starters a recruiting class such as the one Coach Carpenter has produced only makes a lethal combination.  They should be ranked no lower than a top ten Division II NJCAA program this season.

From the state of Illinois, DACC has brought in St. Rita’s Kyle Smith and Big XII all-conference members Westley Dawson (Decatur Eisenhower) and Ronnie Bell (Danville).  Additionally, All Public League Redwest members-6’6” Lavonte Douglas and 6’2” Billy Haynes, both of Chicago Crane.  They also boosts a few studs out of the state of Indiana including Ben Davis High School wings Dion Teague and Teddrick Hardy along with 5’10” Warren Central point guard Antwan Rogers.

Up and coming assistant coach, Durrell Robinson played a big part in the success of their 2007-08 recruiting class.

The Jaguars return their top four scorers from last season as well.  Look for them to make some noise come tournament time next season.
