THE BEST IN ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL RECRUITING!

Bloomington Star to MVC
by Pat Benninger
February 26, 2006

The anticipation is finally over.  6'3" Bloomington guard, Justin Bocot, has committed to Missouri Valley powerhouse, Southern Illinois.  He becomes the fourth member of a very solid Saluki class that includes 6'3" Indiana guard, Brandon Wood, and Illinois standouts, Carlton Fay and Nick Evans.

Bocot is a slick scorer who can put points on the board in a hurry.  He's a streak shooter who can really fill up the statsheet when he's on.  He is an underrated ball handler and passer and can take over a game at any time.

Justin chose Lowrey's program over offers from Illinois State and Indiana State.  Additionally, DePaul, Illinois, Iowa, and Iowa State all pursued him heavily.

Bocot is still awaiting a qualifying ACT score but is sure that he will qualify very soon.  He is the third member at Bloomington High School to announce his college decision along with Lonnie Lawrence (Lewis) and Cory Hainlen (Olivet Nazerene).
