Rosenkranz and Macon Meridian Solid In Victory at the Peoria TOCC Shootout
by Jason McGee
November 26, 2006

Travis Rosenkranz of Macon Meridian was outright dominate in his performace against Tipton (MZ) on Saturday at the Peoria TOCC Shootout. He was hot from the start of the game scoring at will and getting anything he wanted on the court. He was nailing his jumpers from mid-range as well as from 3. He displayed solid slashing ability as well as the ability to create for his teammates. He had to come out of the game late in the second half with a broke nose but still finished with 24 points, 8 steals, and 5 assists.

MSH was also impressed by a few other Players on Macon Meridian. 5-11 freshman guard Trent Swigert appears to be an up and coming player for the Hawks. He is a heady player with the basketball that likes to shoot the three-pointer and he does it with confidence.

Dakota Getz is another player who impressed for Meridian. He is a 6-4 sophomore who appears to have a few dimensions to his game. He is comfortable in the post and spends most of his time down there for the Hawks. He is a nice passer out of the post and stays active on defense.

Meridian appears to be poised to make some noise in Class A this season. With Rosenkranz at the helm and some solid role contributions they have the opportunity to make a run deep into the playoffs.
