O'Rear to Northern Iowa

6'6" Nashville Community High School forward, Lucas O'Rear, has decided to provide Ben Jacobson and the Panthers of Northern Iowa with his services in the 2007-2008 season.

O'Rear is a strong, wide-bodied post player with the ability to handle the ball and step out and shoot the three.  The foolishly athletic prospect is solid on the block and rebounds well.

Lucas will team with his AAU teammate from the 2005 summer, Stephen Jones, as he recently committed to the Panthers after decommiting from Ball State University.

O'Rear chose UNI over Southern Illinois, Saint Louis, Eastern Illinois, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Loyola-Chicago.  He stated early on this month that he would be announcing his decision around this time.
