MidStateHoops.com now brings back its popular news and notes extension to keep you updated on happenings off of the hardwood

-Michael Thompson of Lincoln Park has been heating up the court on the AAU circuit this season with the Rising Stars. Today was a busy day for Thompson as he took an unofficial visit to Dayton. He also received offers from Northwestern and Wisconsin-Green Bay. These offers bring Thompson's count to 5 as he has already been extended offers from Bradley, Middle Tennesse State, and Illinois State.

-MSH recently did a Player Focus on rising class of 2008 prospect Brett Thompson. Thompson has just picked up his second offer from Saint Louis University. the Billikens have had good luck in the state of Illinois in recent years. Former Bellville Althoff star Kevin Lisch just finished a strong freshman campaign there where he averaged 11 points per game. Lisch's sister, Theresa was recently named the state's Ms. Basketball and is headed there after she graduates this year. Edwardsville 2006 star Dustin McGuire is also verballed to play their next season.
