by Jason McGee
November 4, 2006

The state's hottest prospect just got a little bit hotter. Lewis Jackson has just received scholarship offers from DePaul and Minnesota.  Minnesota becomes the fourth Big Ten school to offer Jackson.  This .

While The Big Ten has solidified their position in Jackson's recruitment, it appears that the Big East is now attempting to work its way into the act. DePaul is the first such school to extend an offer. The Big East schools figure to garner attention from Jackson as the Big East is a power conference that receives heavy national television coverage.

Illinois continues to make its presence felt in Jackson's recruitment. He attended the Orange-Blue scrimmage last week. Today he took in the Illinois v Ohio State football game.   Thornton star, Mustapha Farrakhan was also at the game. He and Jackson spoke for a little while during the game. Both enjoyed the game. For Farrakhan, it was his official visit to the school.

Clemson has recently begun to recruit the dymnamic point guard. At this point Jackson has at least one offer from the like of the Big Twelve, Big East, and Big Ten. If Jackson continues to remain neutral, and has a spectacular junior season, it appears that even more schools will make a play for him.
