2008 Spring Showcase Profiles: Part 3
June 4, 2008

Devon Swart

High School: Hartsburg-Emden
AAU Team:
Team Illinois
Class: 2011
Position:
Power Forward
Height:
6'5"
Weight:
210 lbs
Notes: A big body post player that played hard the entire day.  Swart tried to help his team win in any way possible.  He fought defensively and was looking to grab rebounds.

Jeff Johnson

High School: Champaign Centennial
AAU Team:
Illinois Elite
Class: 2010
Position:
Power Forward
Height:
6'8"
Weight:
220 lbs
Notes: A solid post player with good ball skills.  Johnson can finish inside, block shots, is a good rebounder.  However, he is most impressive when making decisions with the ball from the perimeter.  He has a high IQ and is a good passer from the top of the key.  He shoots it very well from the 3 and just has an “old school” feel to his game.

Grant Touma

High School: Bloomington Calvary Baptist
AAU Team:
N/A
Class: 2010
Position:
Shooting Guard / Small Forward
Height:
6'4"
Weight:
175 lbs
Notes: A fundamentally sound guard that plays the game hard with a lot of savvy.  He’s athletic, can block shots, and rebound as well.  He projects as a shooting guard or small forward at the next level, depending where he ends up.  He will need to improve his ball handling but if he continues to earn experience against stronger competition, he will be good.

Mark Penczak

High School: Timothy Christian
AAU Team:
N/A
Class: 2011
Position:
Guard
Height:
6'1"
Weight:
170 lbs
Notes: A shooter that plays hard and can get to the rim.  Penczak isn’t very athletic but is good at getting in shooting position, ready to shoot when the ball is swung his way.

Donovan Perryman

High School: Lake View
AAU Team:
N/A
Class: 2008
Position:
Point Guard
Height:
5'9"
Weight:
170 lbs
Notes: A strong point guard with a team-first mindset. Perryman is a hard worker that really loves to get his teammates involved.  He plays hard and to win and is one of the few basketball players that is not worried about statistics.  He’s strong, a good ball handler, and a good passer plus plays content as he doesn’t not force much.
